Molton Brown Orange and Bergamot

There are fragrances that just resonate with you, maybe to evoke special memories, maybe to evoke dreams of faraway places.  Scents that are classics and timeless, and for me Molton Brown’s Orange and Bergamot is all of the above.  This was the fragrance that introduced me to the brand many, many years ago when I used their Orange and Bergamot Hand Wash, then smothered my hands in their lotion in a rather fancy London Hotel bathroom. The next day I went and purchased both the hand products and that was it…..I was hooked. 

THE SCENT ITSELF

The favourite and bestselling Molton Brown fragrance is truly a cult beauty icon.  Inspired by the bitter orange trees that perfume the vibrant streets and royal courtyards of Seville, bursting with Andalusian sun-drenched notes of neroli, orange and bergamot.  It’s such a happy vibrant scent.

The New Orange and Bergamot additions are the perfect modern extras to compliment the original favourites.  If you like warm, lively, fresh fragrances with a citrus note, then you will adore the new collection which includes an Eau de Toilette, and 3 new Body Luxuries – a Radiant Bathing Oil, Radiant Body Oil and a Radiant Body Polisher.  Adding a contemporary twist of blossoming neroli and bright amber to the classic fragrance whilst staying true to the original zesty scent.

Top note:  Orange, bergamot and mandarin.

We are very lucky to live between the UK and Spain and whenever we are back in London with the grey rainy weather and I am pinning for that Mediterranean feeling, then this fragrance is the perfect tonic.  Using the body oil instantly takes you away to the sun-drenched Andalusian hills and coastline.  Dreaming of those white-washed villages, surrounded by orange groves and with the Mediterranean sea lapping at your feet.  It’s my little Spanish home from home.

As a huge fan of the original Molton Brown Orange and Bergamot is nice to see they haven’t completely changed the scent like some brands do when they add a modern twist to it.  Orange and Bergamot is my favourite ever scent, its instantly lifts me, and it’s so welcoming to walk into a room thats filled with this fragrance.  Light enough not to over power but still fragranced enough to smell and enjoy the aromas.   

I think the new additions are a perfect luxurious extension to the Orange and Bergamot family.  I will certainly be picking up the Orange and Bergamot Eau de Toilette which I can see becoming my everyday perfume for the Summer months.
